The head section ends at line 6998. I barely recognize a fraction of a percent of it. I had to go to my bookshelf. There is a ton of JavaScript and some python maybe. The body starts on line 6999. With inline CSS. The HTML end tag is at line 7035. I need to learn this!

User Interface - UI

This is all built on one long page. You have to use the scrollbar on the side to move down the page or the scroll wheel on a mouse if you have one. If you click on Andy’s face a menu pops up and it contains links to jump up and down the page. At the very top in the left corner next to Andy’s headshot in a circle is the headshot of Solomia Kravets. She is the designer of the page. If you click on her it takes you to her page.

User Experience - UX

This is more of an education than an experience. Its purpose seems to be to highlight the work of the developer. Solomia confesses on the top of her page that she is passionate about pink. That is very apparent. The page is very pink. Navigation is not as easy as I would like because it is just a single page and a ton of scrolling, but I believe that was her intent. It is the nostalgia of the site that drew me to it. As you scroll down it is like watching a film, and that is way cool!

Summary

Love this. I attended UW Eau Claire in the early 80’s for fine art, but never completed my degree. At the time Warhol was still pretty popular. I was part owner of a used record store in Denver in the late 80’s and we had a copy of the Velvet Underground album with the banana on the cover. It had never been peeled. The rumor was that there was LSD under the peel. I am sure it’s not true, but we never tried. For me, this is one of the most interesting websites I have ever seen.
