Target Audience
This page aims to catch the eye of the NWTC community, students, faculty, staff and alumni. There is so much visual noise out in the world. This simple site aims to capture imagination and call attention to the Portfolio Showcase event without bombarding the senses.
Message
A simple design is all that is required to bring people together to celebrate the accomplishments of the students, faculty, and staff. The NWTC Business and Technology department has many great programs available for people of all ages to explore their creative side and possibly make a new carreer for themselves.
Goal
This site should help to spread the word that the Portfolio Showcase event will take place on Thursday May 4, 2023. There will be many exhibits to explore.

Design Summary
This design was inspired by an old newspaper that I came across a month or so ago. News paper used to turn yellow with time. The typeset was a of a serif variety. The pictures were black and white. It had a very grid-like layout. It seemed perfect for an exercise in using CSS grid. I absolutely dig old timey stuff.
